C to A
We love our Class C Omni XG32. So easy to dry, plenty of power, got lots of compliments. But with 3 dogs, even with the slides out, we were constantly stepping over them and their beds. We needed more room/space.
We’ve been on the road now for3 day’s driving our Omni from El Dorado Hills, CA (near Sacramento) to Elkhart, IN. We’re trading it in on Monday for a 2022 Berkshire XL 37A. We head back on Tuesday, arrive home on Friday then take her on first outing on Sunday 10/2, Costanoa KOA near Pescadero, CA.
We know we’ll be asking for help as we shake it out and start our punch list. Hopefully we’ll be able to work on some things with the help of some of you out there. Looking forward to the tips!
We’re excited and looking forward to driving her back home!

It’s on a Ford F550 chassis with a 6.7 Super Stroke diesel. Basically drives like a truck. Plenty of power, even with the toad. DW also enjoyed driving it. She’s not to keen on driving the Berkshire.

But what made it easy to dry? That's what you wrote. It was so easy to dry. I still don't understand what made it easy to dry after it got wet? Did it dry quickly in the sun, did you have to use towels?

I have always wondered how it would work out to want to trade in a used RV a long distance from home. Iike did you agree on a trade in value and was it honored? Keep us posted.

Oh Sorry, NavyLCDR Thanks, wildmanabe, you’re correct!, Should be, easy to “drive.”
Yes, Dave, we made the deal over the phone. I sent photos and vin# and they made the offer. So the approved loan includes the agreed upon trade in amount.

And if you’re seeing question marks in that last reply, they were actually laughing emojis.

Once you get the shakedown handled, you’ll enjoy the heck out of it. As aside, my wife loves driving our Berkshire.

We are excited about traveling in comfort and seeing/exploring this great country of ours! Also looking forward to following our San Francisco Giants on some of their road trips!!
I doubt my wife will ever get behind the wheel, except for photo ops! Haha!

Congrats on the purchase of Berkshire XL 37A. It should do you well. Much more utilized space than the Class C. The 4 slides will offer more than enough space for you and the puppers. The forum is a great resource for info. Happy and safe travels

Thanks, Linc! Great to hear and we can’t wait. We’ll be starting the whole trade-in process here in about 4 hours. Excited to say the least!

Hey Dave, does your 34QS have a dishwasher? If so, is there a way to lock it while driving? We can’t find any way of locking it and it has opened, hitting the wall, on right turns. We’re improvising and using pillows to protect the wall. Thanks

If it's the Fisher Paykel model, there should be a button with a padlock icon on it (it's on the front panel on ours). You need to hold the button down for several seconds (it will beep a few times) and you should hear the lock engage.
Also, on our bus, the dishwasher isn't on the inverter circuit so we have to be on either shore power or generator to lock it.

Hey anaviator,
We have the same brand dishwasher. Thanks so much for the info, we will try that later this week when we take it out. I’m really confident that will do the trick. We’ll also check to see if the dishwasher is on the inverter.
Thanks again!
