Thanks for the screen shots superchief, I came back from a walk and plugged in the shore power and hit the on button and it seems to be working now. Showing an absorb charge now and full batteries. In all of this I noticed the test button for the remote generator start. Is that supposed to go on automatically when batteries get to low?

Assuming you have AGS in your Magnum system, you program the gen to start at a preset temp inside the coach and/or at a preset voltage on the batteries.

Mike, When in absorb charge, my batteries also show full charge on the "light post", but they are not. They are in process. As for the green light on the controller, it should be on for inverter and on for charger. If you turn the charger off in my controller, it says, charger standby. Did you happen to program the controller for the type of new batteries that you just installed? If you need more screen shot of the manual, let me know. Craig

Craig, thanks again, and I have the manual at home and will go through it tomorrow and set it up. I did not you needed to do that. I have only had this RV since June and it is a little more complicated than my gasser.

Ok, went in to check on charging and system monitor says new batteries at 2/3 and I am hooked up to shore power. I turned off charger and charger standby shows 9.8 volts. What should that read.

If your converter is off and your batteries are at 2/3 it should read something like 12.3 volts.

Mike, Do you now have power so you can retract jacks or get slides in? Craig

Craig, yes I put 4 new coach batteries in and have power. But I still have a feeling not everything is working properly. When you turn off light switch in bedroom, the lights don't go off all the way? And control panel still shows batteries at 2/3 charge while hooked up to shore power. Will be calling Magnum next week to talk with service department to walk me through problems.

Since I do not have a combination inverter/converter some of the potential issues are different for me. However, if you are plugged into shore power the inverter should be bypassed and the AC flowing to the outlets from the shore power connection. Is the inverter light normally green in these cases? When I see the "stuck relay" fault, could that be the internal transfer relay in the unit. If it is stuck and is continuing to power the 110V outlets using the inverter, you could be drawing significant DC current from the batteries even though you are on shore power.

Those vaults would bother me.

If the converter is working and everything is wired correctly, your panel should always show full charge with a shore power connection. This means that the converter section is putting out more than a fully charged battery bank (around 13.3 volts or so.) If you really are at 2/3, the converter should be working and bumping the voltage up to 13.3 or so when connected.)

Lights not going off all the way also indicates some errant wiring, depending on the actual circuit wiring (grounds, etc)

It's a phenomena of some LED lights. When I turn my lights off in the bedroom they don't go off all the way, there is still some light coming from them. I notice it at night when we are going to sleep. When we wake up the lights are completely off.

This is not a wiring problem.

I have experienced the same issue with my lights. We turn off the bedroom lights and they continue to glow slightly.

I think it's because the LED bulbs use less electricity so it take awhile to use up the extra electricity left in the wire when you turn off the switch. There is a lot of wire so it takes some time. Right?
