Converting paint codes to color usage

I have the paint codes for the paint used on my coach. I was trying to find a way to convert the codes to a specific color. For example, paint code mb40888 is a black metallic used on 1998-2001 Chevrolet Corvette (this is just an example but the code is real).
This is so I can find touch up paint.
Thanks

You can take your paint numbers to an auto paint supplier. They can put your numbers into their computer and get the paint codes and formulas to mix your touch up paint.

I was looking to get a match to an automotive color so that I could get some touch up paint at an auto parts store. I have a few nicks that need touch up.

Tom, call the Berkshire plant at (574) 522-3693 and ask for Randy or Mitch. Give them the last 7 digits of your VIN and they should be able to match up the colors for you.

Bob,
I sent Mitch an email a while back and this is what he sent me:

Tom,

The paint codes for your unit are as follows:

MB40888

MB76569

MB76444

They all use a Sherwin Williams Ultra Base.

You should be able to go to any paint shop and they should be able to cross-reference the codes for you to see if they are available in a BASF, or a PPG or whatever else. As far as finding a bottle of touch-up paint at a local auto parts store, I don’t know what code refers to what color…your best bet is to hit up a paint shop. They should be able to help you out.

I have been searchig the internet and can't seem to come up with the colors and usages these codes relate to. I just called a local auto body shop and he said that he would try to find out for me what colors the codes represent.
