Hi Jim. As you might guess, it will very much depend on where you take it. The "service" is not really much of a big deal (mainly just an oil/filter change) and with only 150 hours, that is pretty much all you need. Are you running it loaded at least monthly for 15-30 minutes? Running them routinely loaded is a big part of keeping them in shape. I would expect you will be quoted between $80 to $150 for a service again, depending on where you have it done. -Glenn

X2 on the $80 to $150. I believe I paid $100 with filters getting it done whilst the coach was in for service.

Thanks guys! I just bought the RV. For peace of mind I think I will get
all the filters and fluids replaced. I will make sure its run on a monthly
basis. I started it once and it ran well. Now the red light comes on for the glow plugs but it won't even turn over. I will just have to hope its nothing major.

It's sort of like changing oil in a lawn mower, pull plug, replace filter, add oil. Save $ 100 bucks, take wife to dinner.

Jim, we have the same vehicle and generator. I paid to have it done last year and all I got was new oil and filters ($70 at our Camping World). It's easy enough to do. If you are going to do it, take look at the two screws holding the cover under the filter. On mine, they're a weird star head and an odd size - - it wasn't easy to find the right screwdriver.

Takes about 30 minutes....

I've done the "service" on my generator twice now. I found the parts, (filters - oil, fuel and air.... and spark plug), on Amazon pretty reasonably priced. Oil from my local auto parts store. I used Regular hand tools, drain pan and a filter wrench I had on hand.
Total parts cost about $40.
And the satisfaction I did it myself. 👍
So I know it was done right!

Since you mentioned a glow plug, I assume it's Diesel. When mine does that, I look foe dirty electrical connections and dead batteries. Start there and good luck

When you go to open the. Cove on the bottom of the generator do not take the star headed screws out look to the back of the gold color. Cove there is two black
Finger slots push them together and the cover will swing down . Also be careful not to cross thread the oil filter when you put it on . Not a lot of room in there

It is REALLY easy to service yourself. Go to YouTube. There are all sorts of very detailed videos.

Oil, filter, air filter and spark arrestor demonstrations.
