Dash AC not working ideas?

The fan blows air out the vents but the condenser unit is not kicking on. So no cold air. It has been loud which I thought was normal. I checked both 25amp fuses in the bay up front on the drivers side and both fuses are good. Am I missing any other fuses or reset buttons?

I turned on the generator and the girls have been using the rooftop AC while I bake under the windshield. Lol!

Tater mine did that on the way back from a recent trip. I parked it and was going to look into it the next day. When I cranked it up she was blowing cold air so I didn't look into it. Really not sure what happened on that one.

Tater,
on mine, the fan quit working (it was during the winter so I didn't need the AC). It turned out to be a bad connection in the dash. You can pull up that center cover in the dash and you will see a big bunch of connections that are taped and zip tied together. You could wiggle the wires and the connections to see if the compressor kicks in. Maybe one of the butt end connections came loose which is what happened to me. If so, cut the zip ties and un-tape connections to see if you can narrow it down to which wires are the issue and reconnect the wires.

This happened to me last year, and I took it to the freightliner dealer and there was a seal that was gone and they replaced it under warranty.

One year later after winter storage, it's blowing warm air again. Another trip back to Freightliner to see what's going on.

You said the condenser is not kicking in; did you mean to say the compressor (under the hood) is not kicking in? If so, can you try to short across the clutch contacts and see if that does the trick?

Not 100% sure. Look at the pulley on the compressor. You should see a magnetic switch with two wires running to it. How you jump across it will depend on how it's wired. If that switch is not locking the clutch, check the wires to it and see if there is power when the air is switched on. If not, I'd go back and check the switch on the climate control panel to see if it goes hot when the switch is turned on. If you have power at the clutch switch and it's not engaging, then it would indicate a bad clutch, which is not that uncommon.

Do NOT short out the clutch. The clutch should have at least 12 volts across it to engage. A bad connection is likely. If not see the dealer or AC specialist.

There is a pressure switch that measures the pressure of your refrigerant charge. If you've lost refrigerant there will be low pressure and the pressure switch will be open and hence no voltage to the clutch, you can jump the pressure switch and see if the clutch engages. My guess would be you have a leak and over the winter it leaked down. Any A/C shop and sniff a leak and repair, but a leak would be my guess.

Figured it out. I think the fan blade which is missing a blade made the fan unbalanced and vibrated and finally wore out the mounting points.

This is located directly behind the generator.

I'm assuming so. Wife noticed it when we were outside Salt lake but forgot to tell me until we got home 2 days later. Not sure when it happened.

For the past 2 springs mine also did not work. Had a mechanic put some R-134 in last year, worked fine all summer. Same thing this spring, I put it in myself this year. Works fine, must be a small leak somewhere.
