Well I never check the exact mileage. So don't really know. I for sure know it's not 50? I drove mine to Florida and back. 2500 mile or so. Gauge says just over 1/2. Not sure how big the DEF the tank is.

But just guessing the above 320 mentioned is probably close.

My RAM holds a little over 5 gal, Just returned from colorado,1000 miles towing each way. It was full when I left Arkansas and I put in 2 1/2 gal in colorado and 2 1/2 when I got back to Arkansas about 2500 miles total. I guess thats about gal per 500 miles

I am sure your Ram gets better fuel mileage than our Berkshires so it would be natural to assume you get considerably more miles per gallon of DEF. It is not comparing apples to oranges.

My EcoD uses about 1 Gallon of DEF to 50 Gallons of fuel, too. Seems to be about the norm.

Folks do the math, 1 gal of DEF to 50 gallons of fuel. 50 gallons of fuel at 10 mpg is 500 miles. We are all saying the same thing, sort of.

Think you're just about on the money with your estimate. We've put about 3000 miles on our 38A and I've put in 8 Gallons of DEF in it so far. But with the mileage we're getting snailing along at 65 MPH, I won't complain. Just wished it was behind a swing-out door instead of a swing-up one.

Take the door shocks off. Swing the door up and hold it there with a broom handle. Makes it easy. Could have someone hold the door up while you fill it.

I leave my door shocks off.

I find that I have to fill my DEF tank every third time I fill up the diesel tank. I never want to run my DEF tank empty.

I fill a 2 1/2 gallon container with DEF while fueling-up; when ever the container is empty. I transfer the DEF to the DEF tank at my leisure, whenever the DEF gauge is down one bar. Since I fuel-up at the 1/4 tank level, it generally works out that I fill the DEF container every fuel-up on the average. I have never purchased store DEF.

I'm sure that everyone has a system that they lock into!
