Not sure how I insulted him. Life is too short for stuff like this to eat at you for five years. Sometimes it's just better to move on. We bought our 2008 truck in May and 1000 miles later the EGR pump blew. $3000. Stuff happens. You fix it and move on.

I had my Berk detailed on property in Tenn. last summer and the guy told me that he hates "that stuff". He said that he has had customers with it and they have had mold problems. Said he charges $2500 to remove it and can't guarantee it won't take off the paint. I had a small area of the DS lifting on the front of my '14. DS guy came out at Goshen and replaced bad area. Watched him do it and it came off fairly easily, so I'm thinking the stuff the detailer in Tenn. was talking about must have been the 3m stuff.

I was told by DS that most of the mold issue is from power washing. He said to never allow anyone to use a power washer on the front. It makes sense. I had some mild on mine and the tech used an knife to cut the edge off. I can see that I will need to address the issue at some point as it seems to be coming back.

$2500 is a rip off, I've read on other forums that the going price for removal is around $300.

Breezy...

Let's get something straight - obviously you don't know me so you have no idea HOW I deal with things...

Nothing has been "eating at me for five years"... Sure, I could have purchased new steps and paid someone to put them on BUT when a FR representative tells me they are going to "take care of my issue" then I fully hold them to that ....

Now if I was full timing and these steps were a constant issue I'd have gone to Elkhart and had them replaced... But since I only use my coach occasionally then it's only a problem occasionally....

Do I sit around pulling my hair and gnashing my teeth over them - not even a little bit !!!!

So you continue offering your little grains of wisdom and I'll handle my issue the way I see fit... Thanks ...

So we buy a used RV or a two year old unit and expect the manufacturer to keep it repaired to looking new at their cost. You never said that you took it back to the dealer. I think you are expecting way too much! I bought a two year old Berk and have put many dollars in it. We were surprised at our first FROG Rally in which they fixed things that I didn't expect them to do. Anything you buy and take it back because it's broken and want a new one after 2 years they would laugh at you.

And I would expect anyone to treat me like I treat them !

This post is beginning to head to a dark place so I'm out of it before I get caught up in it.... Just not worth a rise in blood pressure...
