Engine air filter location????

Where is it? Please tell me it's accessible and not underneath the bed inside the engine compartment, like YouTube is telling me. Then again, motorhome engineers never cease to amaze me....

Additionally, does anyone know if a clogged air filter will affect the air rides ability to stay under the appropriate pressure. My #2 system is unstable, and I'm not sure if it's a line, bag, or the air intake. Trying to rule out the easy fixes first.

Mine (2015 400QL / 340 HP Cummins) is on the driver side, rear of the coach. Accessible from under the vehicle. Should be cylindrical. You replace the whole thing.

I don't think your engine air filter is related to your air suspension issues - unless the engine itself isn't running normally causing the air compressor to not be able to keep up.

I'd head to my local Freightliner shop (assuming FTL chassis) and have them test the air system to find your leak or issue.

The engine air intake filter should be in the back of the coach on the lef side. it is a big black canister. the engine air filter has nothing to do with the air suspension system. Also i would not advise driving the coach with the air system being deflated. The coach will ride like a log truck and chassis damage could result

Thank you. Do you have a part number for that filter?

Have you ever heard of instances where the rear air suspension would intermittently not pressurize. I live in this and drive it about every 2 weeks and over the past 4 months I've had 3 instances where I couldn't reach stable pressure in the rear, but typically turning everything off, dropping all air and then restarting and re-pressurizing has always worked. Any idea what could be causing this?
