Forest River Warranty work

I am having a terrible time with the Dealer here in Ocala Fl. Trying to
get parts ordered for some warranty work on my 2016 Berkshire XL.
Its been 8 weeks and still no replacement door for half bath.
was wondering if anyone in at Forest river could help getting these
people off center..
does anyone know the number and who to talk to there.....??

thanks

Call Andy to see if the dealer ordered parts. A door might take some time to ship but 6 weeks is a long time. With your vin number he can check to see the status.

Anytime you take your coach to a dealership (or any repair facility) call Forest River yourself to let them know. Dealerships have been know to blame any delay on the manufacturer as a way of getting out of telling the customer they are overbooked and haven't even contacted the manufacturer yet. Another excuse they fall back on is "we are still waiting for the manufacturer to give us warranty repair authorization". FYI: the request for warranty repair authorization is done either via the internet or by fax. It usually takes 1-2 day MAX, not the 2-3 weeks the dealership may tell you. Also ask for an itemized repair list and ALL OLD PARTS. It has been known to happen in the past where repairs were charged and never actually done!

Randy Houser Forest River Warranty Department: 574-522-1583 rhouser@forestriverinc.com

Andy Thompson Forest River Parts Department: 574-522-1747 athompson@forestriverinc.com

Good Luck!

I can't wait for the day when RV dealers, like car dealers, will be held accountable by the marquis they represent.

X2 what Karen said! We get Randy and our dealer's warranty department talking way before we head to the shop for work (stand by and I will let y'all know how this goes - we are scheduled in on 13 Mar)

Unhappy

Our dealer has had our FR3 longer then we had it, purchased it in August, took it in for warranty repairs in October and they still have it. Found out someone in parts never followed up on the order and it's just been sitting there, outside in the snow. Good info on this forum will check with Forest River next time

Wow! So sorry to hear the dealer is giving you such a hard time! Both Andy in Parts and Randy in Warranty at Forest River are very nice. It might be a good idea to go ahead and give them a call (for this repair) just in case. The guys at Forest River have an uncanny ability to get folks moving when it comes to repairs....(kind of a "gently push" kind of thing!). Besides they probably need to be made aware of any dealer that isn't taking good care of the Forest River owners.
Good Luck!

Karen
The unit in question is a FR3 which is a gas powered motor home. Randy and Andy are specific to the diesel division. Some research is needed to determine who are their counterparts at the gasoline division.

oops! Sorry. I forgot that the FR3 was a gas model. I get so busy bragging about Randy and Andy that I forget that there are different "divisions" at FR. I am sure the gas division guys are just as helpful and nice. Sorry for any misinformation.

jfred1947: You didn't mention whether you bought the unit from them. It's not uncommon for a dealer to avoid Warranty work on a unit they didn't sell.

Camping World in Ocala is the Dealer and is who I am trying to get work done. From advice given to me on this forum I contacted FR and things seem to be moving forward

Another Camping World saga. The more I hear those, the more I'm going to avoid them.

Camping World - the Borg of RV companies - they blow into a town, buy up a wonderful family-owned business and guess what? Service and customer care go into the toilet.

They are doing it all over the USA & Canada

You could not PAY me to go to a Camping World!
