Fuel Consumption for Onan 6000 Generator

Just wondering if anyone has calculated their average diesel fuel consumption (gallons per hour) for the Cummins Onan 6000 generator? Just looking for a general rule of thumb under average load conditions (but hey, if someone's gone to the trouble of figuring out full load and half load conditions, feel free to chime in!!!)
Thanks . . .

thats difficult as even when its running you don’t know ‘exactly’ what load it’s running at, and the load is really not a ‘static’ one since 120v devices and appliances are changing their own draws from time to time - an air conditioner cycles on and off, etc...

the general thought is to assume 1/2 gal per hour, but it may be less or more, of course - and that’s only WHEN the generator is running, which is not typically 24/7....

some folks only run the gen for specific needs, such as air comditioning, while others allow their AGS to start and run it anytime it is triggered for temperature or battery level...

there’s no exacting answer, but you’ll probably soon realize that you don’t use near as much fuel as you fear you will...

We have almost 600 hours on ours and I think we average the 1/2 gallon an hour. Best bet when dry camping for several days is start with as full a fuel tank as you can and enjoy the independence [emoji6]

When all else fails, read the instructions.

So yes, not too loaded up 1/2 gph. Loaded up closer to 3/4

From this past weekend, we ran our's for about 15-18 hours a day for two days at the Daytona 500 with the AC on. I figured we probably used about 10 gallons or so.
