Well my problem is back !!!! Exactly the same as before !!! Taking it back to Freightliner in Beaumont, TX for another go at it.... Now here's my question - already paid $800 for a "fix" that didn't work... Should I be expected to pay again for the same fix????? I'm thinking not.....

I agree. No way they should charge you again.

I have the icon on the dash light up accompanied by an irritating buzz.... When that happens all gauges freeze up... The light/buzz will stop for a brief time and then all gauges return to normal... After 2-3 minutes the light/buzz is back and I lose gauges again.....
The center readout isn't affected at all - still registering miles, time, etc....

Which icon? Maybe trying to tell you something.

It's the "low air pressure" icon but my gauges show full air pressure and the air pressure gauges are the only gauges that continue to work when the issue presents itself.....
Brakes and air bags all work perfectly as well....

I could there be an air pressure sensor that reports to the computer in addition to the gauges? Might be a question to ask the 1 800 help people. Just a thought.

IMHO if (most) everything goes.....it points at the computer itself. I do know that many electrical problems revolve around bad ground. Also there are multi pin connectors involved.
In the (large) airplane business the first thing maintenance does when a box acts up is "re-rack" it.
If this were me I'd locate the box, take all visible plugs out, check for contamination, maybe even blow out with clean compressed air (available in a can) and re-assemble. Take a look at the ground situation. If there are obvious connections clean them.
That said, if not ALL of the thing quits it may very well be inside the box......

If the software has a bug in it it could encounter a bad sensor and not knowing what to do stay stuck on the sensor querying it making the rest of the system look like it is hung. I have encountered this so many times while working.

That makes sense..... So, start with "flashing" it?
