Hmm. do you have a automatic generator start? If so, perhaps it's configured with the wrong inputs...

our's did one night while camping. Have taken it to dealer and the report is he has found a lose wire on the generator. No auto start on the generator either. 390qs Berkshire. haven't picked it up yet to get full report.

This isn't a generator, but I use to work in an office equipment store and if a calculator had a short in the wires it would start printing all by itself...so maybe like NO3putt stated, it is a short in the wiring or loose wire... We use to say it was haunted!!!LOL

My Inverter will start the generator to charge the batteries once they get to a predetermined discharge level, but if you're plugged into shore power I wouldn't think that would happen unless your auto-transfer switch isn't switching to shore power.

Follow up - the unit came with an automatic generator start up when the batteries get to low change. the paperwork from FR didn't mention it and the dealer didn't know it either until they did an inspection. Really don't know how it operates or set it. Have no instructions at all. there is a label on the inverter and that's about it
