Had a scary incident!!
I was travelling on route 50 in Maryland a few miles from the Annapolis Bay bridge when I encountered this. (turn your sound up for the full effect!) Thankfully no damage!

Just glad you two are OK!
BTW, noticed you have a Garmin Dash cam - where do you have it mounted?

Any damage to your truck? Looks like a piece of old tin body trim.

Glad you are OK. Sounds like something was hit. A few years I had a similar scare.
I was traveling one of the interstates behind an 18 wheeler. One of his tires exploded and was heading right for us and windshield. But it blew over motorhome and toad. Scary but no damage, just a small black mark at the top of motorhome which buffed out. I don't know how it missed us. A god thing.

We were just on our 2nd outing and I was driving on Route 80 in PA and it was my first time driving the rig for any length of time. 18 wheeler in front of me blew a tire. Luckily I had a good distance between us (I am NEVER a tailgater and certainly not my first time driving the new camper) and was in the right lane. I was able to miss most of it, but it was scary.

It looks it is a piece of siding off the pull behind trailer in front.

I agree. It either came off the black car or the black car kicked it up when running over it.
Glad everyone is OK.
Scary for sure!

Once I was driving down the highway in an old truck I had going to school or work or wherever. I was behind a fairly large commercial truck with a decent space between us. Apparently it drove over a full sheet of drywall and sucked it up, right in front of me. It hit my windshield flat and shattered it completely. Thankfully it held and I was able to get off the highway to where I was going, which was close. Of course the truck kept going but I'm sure he had no idea what happened. I just called a glass guy and had it repaired right there.
Scared the you know what out of me of course.

Ok here's my motorcycle story. Was riding it home from work down Loop 820. Fairly decent traffic. A car in front of me hit a piece of wood, about a 2ft piece of what looked like 1x2. Came up right at me. I ducked and it hit the windshield about inches from the top and flew over. Some scuffing on the windshield was the only damage. None to me thank goodness. I also hit a dove, his fault, he actually hit me but that was a different time.

The only thing I can say is that someone, something somewhere must be looking over us because in many instances the outcome could have been a much worse!!

Just north of Chattanooga on I24 a couple of months ago, a guy lost a wheelbarrow off his utility trailer in front of me. Saw it go airborne and let off the accelerator, watched it come down on its wheel and bounce to about mid-windshield level on the coach, then land upright on the centerline of the roadway. Managed to ease over on the shoulder and slip past, only disturbing the dog when I hit the rumble strips. Truck was already pulling over to retrieve it. Call me old fashioned, but I sure was glad to be going my usual 65 mph instead of 70!
