Help!! Girard water heater problem.

Wife went to take shower and no hot water. I checked outside at the girard unit and it has a steady led light. In the manual it says that is a - internal control fault. Tried the 800 number and office is closed. Has anyone had this issue and if so is there anything I can do to fix it?? Any help would be appreciated.

try the manual... if you don't have it handy, here's the link to it:

are you plugged in or running off batteries?

did you try turning the heater off and then back on again to see if the LED fault returns?

I had the same issue and it was caused by no LP. I had turned the tank off in storage and it just took time to get back to the WH. Try to purge the line and to make sure LP is making it to the WH.

Not sure what the problem was. I did a google search and found the service manual. I only got a junky brochure when I purchased. I did all the recommended troubleshoot items and it finally worked. I did notice the sail switch was sticking and not moving freely. So maybe that was the culprit.

My sail switch was blocked by a wasp nest once. So that's something to watch out for...
