Seen this in residences. It HAS to increase your fuel consumption, even if great care was taken to insulate every inch of the (very long in our case) lines.

Oh, I'm sure it does! When our unit is in "comfort" mode (OK it is ALWAYS in Comfort mode )every once and a while you can hear the HWH cycle on and heat (to keep the 1.3L holding tank at 120°). So, I would imagine that it would do this almost constantly in cold weather. And all on propane.

Honestly, I'm not sure I would want that "feature" as it is, if we turn the tap on full left, we have HOT water in 10-15 sec max. This would/does present a problem if you are not hooked to city water/sewer: that 15 Sec of water @ 5GPM = a tad over 1 GAL of wasted fresh water + used gray water.

This is why we are installing the Showerrmi$er in the Shower (and, I think, a Sinkmi$er at the kitchen sink as well).

RV – Aqua View, Inc.

We saw this gadget at last year's FROG Intl Rally and were very impressed. I have the unit (but not the sink one) and hope to install it in the next few weeks. It will almost be a necessity next year on our trip to Alaska - I really do not want to hook up at every 1 or 2 day stop!
