How difficult is it to install XM radio plug and play
I have the antenna and receiver for the sirius (to be installed at a later date) but my subscription now is XM. I noticed there is a plate on top of the dash above the radio and removing it exposes the back of the radio. How difficult would it be to install the plug and play and tape the antenna to the window?
Thanks, Debbie
Debbie,
There are rca connectors in the back of the radio that are for the AUX input to the radio. If you plug the output of your receiver into the AUX plugs and set up the antenna, when you want to use the satellite, you would just push the AUX button on the front of the radio. I just left the antenna sitting on the dash by the windshield.

I set up the xm radio today. The antenna is hangin on the dash. My connector for the aux is too big so I went to Best Buy for a smaller adpater and I have music. Yeah!
I did the same thing with my portable Sirius receiver. Works like a charm and if you have someone who wants to listen to something else, they can plug earphones into the outlet where the speakers plug in.
