next issue, opened the water valve, but ice maker not making ice. moved to bar at ice maker several times and it goes round, but not hearing or finding water inside. any ideas.
Do you have a Whirlpool residential refrigerator? If so, there is an on/off switch inside the ice maker. You need to remove the bin and the switch is towards the top.

Ours does the same thing at times. Couple things to check, is the ice maker pluged in, seperate plug than refridgerator, takes a couple of times to cycle to get water thru line if you had it blown out.
