Lights

Can someone tell me if there is a secret switch that turns the back up lights on and off?
It seems that my backup lights are staying on as I go down the road.
Thanks,
Ken

There should be a integrated switch that turns on the backup lights when the transmission lever is moved to the reverse position. Not too unusual for this switch to stick in the on position after the transmission is shifted out of reverse. Not sure where to find the switch on your unit, most likely under the coach or under the dash would be my guess.

Yes there is normally a mechanical switch that makes contact when you place the unit in reverse either on the shift column or on the linkage for the transmission. But I have no idea where that switch is located in your unit.

Are they backup lights or docking lights. Switch for docking lights on center console ... bottom right labeled dock lights

Well it looks like it might be docking lights after all because I had a chance to play with them last night and noticed if I put it in reverse additional lighting came on so now I have to figure out where the heck they could hide a docking switch any suggestions?

I'm not at my unit right now but I think the switch is on the bottom of the dash at the steps.

Should be located within easy reach of driver position, only used when "docking".

Agreed. It's either camouflaged or they put the lights on it but forgot about the switch

You definitely have a different set up than mine my docking light switch is bottom right where the last map light is. I'm surprised you have map light switches on that panel.

Is it part of the headlight switch or dash light dimmer where if you roll it up beyond the dimmer portion it turns on the interior lights? maybe its hooked to something like that. No clue just guessing.

Hi Kenny,

If they are Dock lights they would be located on the side of the coach just behind the rear wheels. I thought Forest River discontinued them on the new coaches but not sure.

Where are the lights that are staying on? If in back of coach then they are backup lights.

My backup lights will not come on unless the engine is running on my 2008 Berk.

I would say head back to Gafney.

Gaffney is not an option since I am already home. I will get an appointment with one of the local oasis service centers.
Thanks to all for your help.
