If DW is out shopping and dogs need to go out, or just visit or take a walk, no. If leaving in vehicle, yes. Now at one of the rally's, we went on a tour and someone at the CG took our dogs for a walk for us. Everything was as we left it. Meaning no one from outside the CG came in.

BTW - I noticed that Amazon says one of its warehouses is in Waco,TS. I think they mean Waco,TX.

Doesn't really matter whether you lock the doors or not if there are other Berkshire owners there. All the keys, except for the ignition and upper lock on the door, are the same for all Berkshires.

Very!! All the compartment keys, including the fuse compartment, and the bottom lock on the door are all the same. How do you think FR techs get into your coach to do work when you are not there? They tell you to only lock the bottom lock on the door because the bottom lock key is the same for all Berkshires as is the key to the basement locks.

Just look at the number on the lock on yours, then look at your neighbors. There are only a couple of different lock/key numbers!

And many of the tool boxes on the back of pickups have the 751 lock also.

I knew about the ch751 keys and changed all my locks to barrel locks when I had my class c. I thought I was safe here. Hmmm, that central locking project is looking better by the moment. I think I do remember Randy saying that the bottom locks were the same, but the deadbolt was unique to each vehicle. Going to have to remember to use that one when I do lock it.

The dead bolt is the hard one on my coach to lock. Have to apply some pressure to the door to get it to lock. Just real tight on the deadbolt.

I don't worry too much about locking mine. Good chance if someone break in--they look around and feel sorry for us that We have nothing of value and leave a $20 on the table for us !!

My deadbolt is that way too. I never have locked it because I'm afraid it will get stuck.

Just close your door hard. Then it will probably work or just push on it easy. It will lock.

Now if you ever get locked out!! Go around to your driver seat sliding window. Put some pressure on window to open it with one hand. With the palm of your other hand smack the window right at the lock. Window will push right open. Don't ask me how I know !!

Then get something to climb on and try to wiggle you fat xxx thru the window. Well my fat xxx. Anyway

been there done that! Both of us in pajamas, 7 a.m., raining, 39 degrees, RV park office closed, keys in coach. We huddled under the door awning for about 20 minutes. Then I recall that the window over the couch was not locked, but it's a long way up there. We pulled a picnic table up near the side, I got on all fours Nickie stood on my back And I boosted her through the window. After that we now leave all the windows unlocked and I have a folding ladder in the basement. We can laugh about it now!

They tell you to only lock the bottom lock on the door because the bottom lock key is the same for all Berkshires as is the key to the basement locks.

Do you have two keys to open the door on your unit one for the bottom and one for the top?

Yes, they are two different keys.
