Magnum Charger whining

Guys,
My Magnum charging unit has been making a high pitch whining noise for the last couple months. All seems to be working correctly, but should I be worried? Anyone else have this issue? I had the power transfer switch replaced this summer and it started whining shortly thereafter.

I also have a 2008 Berkshire. For the longest time I thought the Magnum was whining but finally figured out it was the battery disconnect hardware in the battery bay next door. Could yours be the same? Just a thought.

Tell it to get a better attitude and quit complaining.

Sorry, just had to be a smart ass. Wish I could offer some real constructive comment, though.

Boowho??

Silver, I think you may be correct about the battery disconnect hardware. What was the solution on yours?

I hate to tell you this but I let it whine. I have heard other have had this problem and I do not hear it inside the coach. Mine has been doing it since new.

It is actually the solenoid coil that is whining. I will attach the manual.

Good enough for me...I can understand how the solenoid can whine...many starters in big shop equipment can do that too...It gives me some peace of mind knowing I'm not alone and that it probably won't hurt anything. Thanks!

My 2008 has been whining since new also. Not all the time but it seems to whine when it is bringing the house batteries up to snuff. We never have been to concerned and if it is not broke we do not fix it, an attitude developed from experience.

GOOD LUCK
