Metal plates under slide rollers

I own a 2014 Berkshire, should I install thin aluminum plates under the slide rollers?

Use galvanized steel instead, secure it in place with double sided tape and then use screws where you know it is safe to do so.

After installing the plates are there any slide adjustments that have to be made?

You need the plates for heavy Schwintek operated slides. I have an extensive discussion of problems with these slides, including the installation of the plates at
https://www.forestriverforums.com/fo...de-175612.html

Usually, you don’t need to adjust the position of the slide column if the plates are no more than 1/8” thick. We discuss this at
https://www.forestriverforums.com/fo...ml#post2268224

A brief summary of how to check whether you have a problem that should be addressed is at https://www.forestriverforums.com/fo...ml#post2270056

I have the same model as you. Metal plates can be installed on the kitchen slide, but not the dinnette slide, because that one is a flush type slide. I had plates installed at the Goshen rally years ago by FR and they are the ones that told me this.
