Mobile RV Glass Repair

Huge rock kicked up and cracked my front windshield from top to bottom. Anyone used Mobile RV Glass?

Any recommendations?

Don’t know what you’re driving? If a Class C then any glass place can do the replacement.

I don't know what kind of unit you have.
Safelite mobile service replaced the windshield on my Sprinter 3500. Was very pleased with technician's work and the company's price (although insurance covered most of it).

I had trouble finding someone to work on my Berk 34QS window in Calgary. When you Google for glass repair near Calgary, they give you national chains, but you soon discover that the nearest shop in their chain is hundreds of miles away (in Idaho, no less!)

So, you probably need to go to a local shop and talk to them to make sure they have repaired or supplied and installed motorhome windshields.

In the second year of ownership, I developed a crack on the right side that goes almost from top to bottom. I got a local Calgary guy to drill holes with his Dremel diamond bit at the ends of the crack to apply the glue and seal it. He was diligent and pointed out it was a high risk repair. The crack continued, but I still drive with it, since it is out of my line of sight.

Since then, I've bought and used several Permatex Bullseye window repair kits. The instructions seem counterintuitive at first, but follow them closely and they work well. I've successfully repaired bullseye cracks that are about 1.5" to 2" in diameter with their systems. I carry spare kits with me, so that I can repair a crack at the end of the day after I get hit. That is to keep the crack from growing.

We used Mobile RV Glass for a broken windshield on our old coach, no problems, good service and no leaks! Don't know about cost as insurance picked it up.
