More gremlins to exorcise

So, some may remember my electrical system going nutso going over Donner Pass late last September. Now I've had a re-occurrence.

Couple of days ago I'm cruising along at 65 and I get a beeping warning that says parking brake not set. I start checking for other indicators and realize that the entire dash computer and all gauges are "down"; even tach and speedo read ZERO.

When I saw the tach at 0 I thought the engine might have quit running, but that was not the case. I was still doing 65 on the CC.

After about 30 seconds the computer re-initialized itself, just as it does when you first turn on the key.

Everything normal from there on.

Might be difficult to diagnose since it's so intermittent. I'm also wondering if this incident is related to the one back in September (on Donner Pass).

Anyone else ever seen this? I want to get it "on record" with FL so in case the whole thing dies permanently after warranty runs out this coming August, they might still stand behind it. I'll bet replacing that whole computer would be $10K+. OUCH!!

Boowho??

No issue so far. That's a odd thing to happen. Keep us posted.

When your gauges were down was your digital odometer still showing your mileage, or was it down as well?

I don't keep the ODO displaying (all the time) so I didn't notice. Would that provide a clue??
