Not happy with salesman at CW, so I'll ask here
I wasn't real impressed with our salesman at camping world on the day we took delivery of our Berkshire. But that's a story for another day.
Because I don't want to get angry talking to him, I thought I'd ask the question here.
All online videos at various dealers that I watch about our model (400QL) show a remote control for the awning. I can't find one anywhere. Is that an option or supposed to be standard ?
We also have a fantastic fan in the kitchen. No remote. I thought all of those came with a remote.
Anyone here have any knowledge of this stuff? Sure would like to know before I do call them.
Thanks,
Ken

I do not recall the fantastic fan having a remote. I thought that was done manually.
Not sure about your awning.
Good luck.
Vin.

Sorry
to hear about your experience. Perhaps an appropriate email to the region or district manager would help. It has for me several times (not CW but otherwise). In any event, it always makes me feel better after I think I've been ignored or treated as a number, etc.
Re the Fantastic: I have two...one is completely manual (you open/close vent) and turned on by bathroom wall switch. The other (with "remote") is operated via a wall mounted auto/manual/off/temp set - small box. (The thing is WAY too high to reach being over the kitchen area). It also automatically closes if it starts raining. Check their website however...there are several models! Gave a great day!
Don't know about your awning. Mine has remote but it is on the same remote control as slides, etc. Can't help you there.

So is the remote for the slides standard, or an option ?

You should receive two sets of keys and one with an awning remote. As for the Fantastic Fan, I have installed a kit from them that provides remotes and a rain sensor (which works great).

Kenny, here's what came with our Berkshire.
2 sets of keys. One has a remote for the awning. Just two buttons up and down.:
No remote for the fantastic fan in the kitchen. Have to manually open the lid. Then control it with the thermostat on the wall.

There's a Fantastic Fan with a remote? I need to check on that and see about replacing mine...my 5" tall (short) wife can't reach the knobs in the bathroom!

You can also wire a switch to the wall to turn it in if she can't reach it....

Well I guess lug wrench isn't the right term. I mean that little T wrench used to take the lug caps off.
