Doesn't look like it is extended all the way and with the slide, you are not going to get much benefit.

What is in that slide?
Can you get by with the slide closed?

Kinda defeats the purpose of the slide if you can't extend it wouldn't it just to use more awning? Not a very good design IMO.

Just not a well thought out design. Awning out, slide in, move all the chairs & picnic table, etc. next to the coach. Slide out, move all the stuff back out away from the coach.
The awning doesn't look extended as the material is not taut but is drooping.

Yep. Bad design. Not a speck of shade on the ground below it and no room for chairs. Wow.

The XL 378TS has the same design. The awning is out of reach without a ladder and doesn't provide much cover except behind the slid.

My 390bh is the same. I hardly ever put out my awning. We carry two of those EZ Up pop up tents and put our chair under them. Then it depends on which side the coach the sun is on. We we go to our regular campgrounds we know which spots to pick.

All passenger side slides have the same issue. I have the same problem. I work around it by choosing my sites with that in mind. I also have a drop down that helps a lot. If I was shopping for a new rig I would try to avoid a slide on that side. I have seen some with a awning on the slide but have not looked into doing that. My guess is it would not be possible or cheap. I think the trade off with more room is worth it until I want more shade.I guess I'm hard to please.

Well, I guess that's one of the few advantages of the 390TS. It has 3 slides rather than 4. The only other advantage that I could think of is weight savings. There's one for sale in the classified section ;-)

When I get time, I'll look into moving the awning to the kitchen slide. We never use it. It doesnt provide any shade and its too tall to hang out lights on.

I had the same problem with my 390QS. Bought the Vista Shade from shade Pro. Has helped a lot. Web site ShadePro Inc.: Vista Shade for Electric RV Awnings

X2 on the Shadepro. I don't use awning lights so the Shadepro is installed and is rolled up with the awning. It does not cause any issues with the awning functionality. The detachable extra 4 foot section that comes with the Shadepro is a great addition. Have had it installed for 2 years and camped at dozens of locations, deploying at every site and it is still like new. A very good product for MH's with passenger side forward slides and electric awnings. Works for me.

The Shadepro does not mount to the slide, it slides into the awning roller lighting slot and hangs down all the way to the ground if you want it to. Provides excellent shading. Comes with 2 sections (mine are 20' long to accommodate my awning length) and one of them stays on the roller when retracting the awning. Does not overload the awning.
