The tar paper was my next question?? So how long will the palm branches last. For sure the structure is long lasting.

The life of the palms is between 6-8 years. To rethatch the tiki cost around 1500$.

Well I like it. Sure looks like a cool addition. Had plans to drop by while we were down here this trip. But time flys & we fly back north Saturday. Be back Jan 4. Try to slide over there and take a look at it then.

Bought air tickets out of Punta Gorda to Indianapolis for $37. Each. Decided to leave the car down here with the RV.

Wow the air fare is so cheap right now. We have two dogs and they want 400 for them to fly. The oldest one might not fit under the seat and I can't put him in cargo. So we drive. Instead of a two hour flight it's a two day drive. Oh well I love my puppies.

Phil and Dianna's lot
I figured they would want $500 each to come back!! But our return flight was $95 per ticket. So $279 total for two of us round trip. 1100 mile. To drive it. Didn't take us long to decide. Understand your situation as to why you need to drive. My dog kill himself and we have not replaced him. (He ran under my car!!)

Oh man that's awful. We lost our Brittany several years ago and swore we would never have another dog. Now we have two.

Russell I was at the county building for two hours today trying to get permits. I have the tiki and hope to get the wiring done this week. Then it will be done. The sheds transformation to a casita house is still waiting permits. In case you don't know what a Casita house is its Spanish for " you spent to much on the shed".

Hell I paid 100 dollars in permits to run 30$ worth of wire and outlets. Unbelievable. The county is prowling around the park so no one dares do anything with out a permit. A guy got caught last week. Cost him plus they shut him down.

No we elected to just have a toilet and sink. The rest is a counter top and cupboards. Open for storage. Pretty simple.

We looked at one in Michigan that had all those. We thought the washer & dryer out there was neat. A bathroom outside (well outside the RV) be good for company.
Building the outside fireplace yet. Lol
