Problem with dometic fantastic fan

I have a dometic fantastic fan installed in my bathroom (model no 7350 variable speed fan with rain sensor) and the cover doesn't raise when I press the on button. When I press the on button I hear a 'chirp' but the cover won't raise, The fan runs and I can manually push the cover up from the inside so I know it is not stuck in any way. Also, it is extremely difficult to raise the cover with the black knob that can be used to raise and lower the cover manually. Any help would be appreciated. (ps- i have been on hold with dometic for over 45 minutes without being able to get through)

Problem with dometic fantastic fan

Had a similar experience last month. The remote was totally out of synch with the fan.

Played with it for 15 min manually raising the cover then retracting it.

Not sure how I solved the problem but it’s working fine now.

Sorry I can’t be of more help!!

Check out page 25 for trouble shooting, seems like maybe the slow burning fuse is blown our the batteries in the remote need replaced.

Ours is a 2011 390 RB. Our back bathroom has to be opened using the turn handle by the fan. If not open the fan will not operate. The one in the front works off a switch. There’s a bit of height difference between the 2
