Rear ladder will it hold me???
I usually use an extension ladder with a blanket for padding to access my roof but we are leaving on a two week trip and I up the rear ladder extension on back on just in case. Has anyone ever used this ladder to get on the roof? I weigh 215 will it support me it does not look the well built.

I don't know if all units have the same ladder, but I also weigh in around 215 and I use mine on my Sunseeker 2860 all the time.

I use some support under the trailer ladder and then I'm good to go on the roof, tried the first time and the wall and the ladder were screaming for help. I weigh '240 dry', lol.

Is there not a weight limit label on the ladder itself?
Mine is labeled 300 lbs max.

I'm referring to the ladder on our Rockwood...I can't believe that the one on your Berkshire would be rated for less.

Use my ladder on Berkshire all the time, no problems except the first step is rather tall. Only weight around 160 lbs

I use the ladder on my 2008 Berkshire 390bh frequently. I weigh about 210-215 and the ladder has done fine. It did take me a couple times to trust it since it is not permanently mounted, but it must be built right.

I use mine all the time, I am 195lbs and no issues. Sounds a little creeky and feels a little wobbly but so far so good. I did go over all the screws to make sure they were all tight to be sure...lol

I weig 240 and mine works. Just wish I could get my fat a.. Between the top extension. I wish it was a bit wider and a bit more tighter in the sockets.

LOL!!! I've tried mine once; heard the same screaming for help!!!
I've heard it's good for 300 LBS, but I "dress out" at a svelte 255, so I don't use it. I doubt I'd get much warning before it totally gave up; the drop would be quite sudden.
And with no other rails up there, even if I do get to the top, I'll have a heluva time actually getting over the edge, and worse getting back ON the ladder to come back down.
Probably have to call the local utility company to bring in a cherry picker to get me down; like getting a cat out of a tree!!
Boowho??

I'm 220-225, I use it fine. I just try to make sure my weight is going in a downward direction -- no leaning back while climbing!

I've used mine to look at the roof, and it seems solid enough, but I haven't braved actually being on the roof yet. Somehow I just don't trust trailer roofs to support my 240+.

I have a 2013 Berkshire 390FL and I weigh 245. I have been on my roof numerous times without any issues. But I am careful to go slow and minimize the surge effect...no lunging or heaving upward when taking each step. I also avoid leaning out and keep my weight verticle
