Roof Bubbles

Have a new Berkshire 390QS and when I went to wash roof for first time noticed multiple "Bubbles" for lack of better description on roof. Has anyone else experienced this? It just dosen't look right to me and fear that the roof has seperation issues.

That doesn't look right. Did you go back to the dealer with it?

Not sure if motorhomes use the same roof membrane as travel trailers but I have a similar looking roof and my dealer said it is normal. The roofing is not bonded to the roof so it can expand and contract. Not satisfied I contacted Forest River and they confirmed this.

Yes, Went to dealer and given two options - was dealer would replace roof and other was take back to factory for roof replacement. Anyone have experience with taking unit to factory for warrenty work?

I had exactly the same experience with my dealer and FR and as such am not worried about it at all.

Depends on your dealers service department's quality of work, but FR's factory repair work is hard to beat.

I had a good experience taking my 390bh to the factory for some work. Since they build the coaches they are very knowledgeable about the coaches and know how everything goes together and comes apart. They will also have all the materials needed on hand. I would recommend going to the factory.

We sent our M/H back to the factory for repairs a couple of years ago. Forest River hires a driver to come to your home to drive the unit back to Indiana and once the repairs are complete the unit will be driven back to your home.

If the factory is so good at repairs why can't they build them right in the first place at the factory???

Update - FR has approved the replacement of the roof and some other warrenty work. Now it up to when to schedule it and who will do it. Leaning towards the dealer, Mike's always been up front on issues and cares about the quality of work by his technicians. FR didn't offer to get HM or replay any expenses for me to drive it out to factory.
