Sat Install question

Hey fellow Berkshire owners. I'm thinking of buying a Winegard PA-6002 Pathway X2 Satellite TV Antenna and was wondering if when I hook it up to the outside jack (in power bay), all of my TV's will automatically receive the signal or if I'll need to do anything else. Thanks for any help.

Rich, I know that when we use the outside cable hook up all the tv's get the cable stations, however when we hook up the tailgater using that location, the tailgater will not work due to a spliter some where down the line from the cable input in the power bay. Don't know if the wineguard would or would not be affected. We have Dish, and from the reciever out it goes to all 3 TVs, but since we have only one reciever all 3 TVs get the same channel.

The question to wineguard does a spliter inline with effect the signal to the reciever?

What do you hook up the tailgater to?

Rich,
We have a Winegard Road Trip on the roof but we have been blocked by trees etc. So that is why we also have a tailgater. Also the Winegard Road Trip dosen't work very well when it rains. I have been thinking of pulling a second cable from the power bay just for the tailgater, but haven't gotton around to it. Since our entertainment center is right next to a window we just put the cable through it. Not the best when raining. Have also thought of going thru the floor from the entertainment center into the bay below.

Unfortunately, my entertainment center is on a slide, so wiring from below may prove difficult. I guess I'll have to take a closer look.

I went with the wineguard travlr slim line for direc tv and the rain and tree coverage has not effected me getting signal yet. I have a 2014 berkshire and had it installed when I ordered the coach. There is a satellite prep in the roof and goes right to the ent center then I use the hdmi cable to the main tv and TV above driver seat. I then use the RCA cables (red, yellow and white) to the input on my distribution panel that send it to my bedroom and outside TV'S. I get HD on my two inside and regular definition on the other two. Little pricey but much better then my old dome I had on my last coach. Hope this helps.

As for your question about using the cable hook up spot, that will not work due to the splitter. What you can do is go into the camper and straight to the receiver then out of the receiver into anyone of those cable jacks and all your TV'S will get satellite but only what is playing on the receiver.

Gasman94 - prior to having a dish installed on my roof, I would use the Cable Connector in the bay to hook up my mobile dish. Here is a post that I made before on his to do it. Hope if helps. Craig
