Satellite dish
I bought a King Rover satellite dish for permanent mount on roof. Has anyone done this project themselves? If so, where is the coax located in the ceiling/roof and how hard is the installation? Thanks!

I'm gonna follow this thread...I have a satellite dish fixed to my slide-in camper that I want to fix to the roof of my new rockwood 2109 minilite...was thinking maybe opening up the hole where the windup antenna cable goes thru roof...but am loath to disturb that.....would be nice to see how others have done it.

I've seen drawings with dimensions for prewire sat cabling location for Berks on this forum and not to long ago. Run a search on this forum and should show up.

I had the winegard trav'lr installed on mine and the cables where in between the front AC and the clearance lights. There may be a label on your roof but not sure. I'll take a picture when I get home and post it where the cables come out of the roof.

Is the trav'ler still being sold?? I was at CW the other day and they have a new one that seems to have much (if not all) of the functionally of the Trav'ler.
Plus they had no Trav'lers at all.
Can't remember the name/model number (of the new one) at the moment, but it was under $500.
I may look at one of these, since the reflector is huge (compared to my carry out) and it (apparently??) has multiple LNBs.
Boowho??

Just checked the CW website and it is still available for $1899.00 for the direct tv one which is what I have. Below are a few pics of the dish.

There are some drawings of where the wires are located on the roof elsehwere in previous posts. I have a 390fk and had some issues because of where my tv was located in the slide. The Travler is a top notch antenna and the Dish Network capable one can be found for around $1200 with an internet search.

My 2013 has the same dish mounted between the AC units right in the middle of the coach. I would call FR and find out if there is a change to the wiring from a 13 to a 14.

Here is a link I got from Forest River on my Legacy which is built on the same line. I drilled right where they said (just in front of the front AC unit, and there was the coax.

If I remember, that's exactly where it was/is located on my 2011 Berk.
I was really impressed with the high quality of FR's engineering drawings! Why didn't they just hand draw it on a McDonalds napkin!!

Our 2013 has the access panel in the middle of the coach, right above the main TV. the wire for the rear/bedroom runs on the across the roof and down to right above the rear TV. The out side TV has no wire from the Sat unit, but has a RCA plugs available on the TV and on the dist box so I just got long triple RCA cable and plugged it in the TV which I can get at from under the table, just left it there. When we stop and I want to us the out side TV I jus unroll the cable and plug it in to the Dist box. When and if we ever get up to the factory I understand that will run the cable in the cable harness of the coach.

I got the upscale drawing, paper plate. Even had most of the potato salad wiped off.
