Satellite or Berkshire

Has anyone installed a satellite tracking system in their Berkshire Motorhome? The factory literature said it is prewire....not sure that is the case. I have a 09 390BH.

I did on our Georgetown. Winegard Trav'ler automatic dish. I assume you are talking about a dome with the constant tracking but the idea is the same. For us the wiring for the dish was under a cap on the roof in the front right corner (above the passenger seat) and it looks like a vent cap for plumbing. There is a single screw that needs to be removed (it may be under a blob of caulking) to remove the cap. Once off you can see the coax cable under there.

Make sure the dish you are considering can receive the new HD channels as the dish networks are moving their HD programming to satellites that the older domes cannot receive.

We didn't use the factory set up because it was off to the side not too far from the edge. We would have had quite a bit of cable exposed on the roof to center the dome. The other reason is we have a DirecTv TIVO unit that has two satelite inputs and our Winegard Dome has two outputs. The factory set up is a single cable. the dome was centered and the cable was run through the roof directly into the front cap behind the TV.
