Shade Brackets

Was travelling home the other day and the shade over my love seat just fell off. Has anyone else had this issue and if so, how is the shade held in place? I can see 2 plastic 'brackets' that look like they hold the shade but I can't tell if they broke or if the shade just came out of the bracket. Any help is appreciated.

My 14BH had metal and plastic assembly pieces. One end is fixed and the plastic end is spring loaded. The plastic end should move. I had to replace one of the brackets at the front shade. Called the company and they mailed new brackets to me no charge. Don't remember the company but they are in Elkhart.

I had this happen to the shade on the driver side window while doing 55 on 95 in MD.... Almost hit me off the head. Then again over the couch about two months later.
The shade company is Irvine shade and window 574-522-1446 they will send you the cheap clips and tell you no one has reported this problem before.... Nice folks, faulty clips and they know it.
I order extra now so I have them on hand for the next failure.

Yes. I asked about an upgraded full metal bracket as the plastic portion of the bracket is what snaps and fails. That's when they said no one else has reported the issue.... No one else that day maybe

I will inquire about the full metal bracket when I hear from them. They asked that I send a picture of the bracket to make sure that they have them. I sent the picture and am waiting to hear back.
