Shower water fixture
I don't know what made me think of this since my Berk is in bed for the winter, but just curious if anyone else has had a problem bumping the fixture while taking a shower. I've done this several times and it is so sensitive to hitting it that the water temp fluctuates quite a bit when bumped. I'm wondering if I can change it to a unit like I have in my house.

Ours is very touchee, would like to change ours out also, just haven't taken the time to take out and just see if there is any difference between the one installed and one we could buy at Lowes or Home Depot.

Just go to the big box stores and see what they have....shower fixture is most likely 4" centers .......just check to see where the hose connects to.

I would also like to change, but for a different reason. With the tankless water heater, Girard says that you should adjust water temp. with flow rate, rather then mixing some cold water. I find that on my 2012 Berk, that it is very difficult to adjust the control for a little bit more cold water when the handle is out.
X2 with interest for anyone that has changed their shower control.

Got the shower valve out, not a problem but having problems finding one with the same fittings on back, tryed Lowes, Momen brand did not match up. Guess tomorrow off to run around town and plumbing supply store to look. Picture of back of valve below.

That was my concern....that fixture plumbing would not be the same.

Just switched out my Shower valve and control to a Delta Lahara Pressure-balance. You set the hot/cold mix with a mall lever and then turn the large lever on to supply the needed water pressure. Seems to work great for keeping the temperature even.
The old valve was so hard to adjust and always seemed to get cold at some point.
This was in a new Berkshire XL 40 BH with the Atwood Tankless.

In bed for the winter? The best camping weather is just a few weeks away!
