So Boo or anyone who has gotten the upgrade,

They do air bag and tires for a front problem. What do they do for a back axial weight problem and how much more does it give?

The GCVW does not change as that is limited by the 2500 Transmission. This makes a difference is you don't have a toad or trailer. The fix is to make the steer Axel safe to carry the weight on the front. So many have had a over weight issue on the front and this is very dangerous. I believe the tires are the biggest factor.
So no this does nothing to help increase the cargo capacity but if I didn't have a toad I would be able to carry much more without overloading the steer axel.

The back axle is NOT improved by the upgrade, even though they do replace the tires back there. The limiting factor on the REAR axle is the axle itself which is spec'ed at 17500.

A few of us are fairly certain that the RA will actually do 19500 ( it appears to be the EXACT same axle used on the 360 with a 19 lb or 19.5K lb limit) without a problem. FR purposely spec's it at 17500 to allow more toad weight (basically downgrading the axle below it's real capacity).

SO... if you go to 19500 on the RA, you will be cutting into your maximum toad weight.

If you have 19500 on the rear and 12000 on the front that's 31500. Subtract that from 33000 and you only have 1500 lbs for a toad. Smart car, maybe??

Boowho??

Was your coach empty? Your rear axle weight is 2,000 lbs more than mine.

Is this addressed to me? If so, what I said was that the R/A on both the 360 and 340 HP units is the same, per Hank comparing BOM's for each axle. That may be the 2K lbs you're mentioning.

What this mean is that you actually have the extra 2000 lbs of weight carrying capacity even though FR says 17500.

DO NOT TAKE THIS AS GOSPEL. WE think THIS IS THE CASE BUT PROVING IT IN A COURT OF LAW MAY BE DIFFERENT. I TAKE NO LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR MY STATEMENTS ABOVE SINCE I DON'T KNOW THIS INFO TO BE TOTALLY, COMPLETELY, CERTAINLY AND DEFINITELY 100% ACCURATE.

I have a 2012 390BH60. I never haul water although I do travel with full diesel and propane tanks. Should I be worried about weight. Have gone over scales in the past .... other than needing to balance my load I did not.thinķ that I was overweight. Am I missing something?

lefaivre - You said that you have gotten weighed, but did you check the weighs against your GWAR Front & Rear ratings (on your sticker, in cabinet over the driver's seat).

Having a 360hp, your GWAR Rear is 19,000 lbs. But if your GWAR Front rating is only 10,400lbs and your tires are 255's, you should ask FR to upgrade your front to 12,000lbs and tires to 275's. They will probably be most happy to do it for you.

I don't see the model in your signature so that info is helpful. The over weight issue was mostly the RB model and only the Moho's with tile and the 4 door fridge. Just because you have 255's doesn't mean you have a issue. My best advice (has anyone said this) is to get a current weight. Wth t that it's just not possible to even guess as to whether or not you have an issue. I can say that when we unloaded or Moho to be weighed empty we removed 835 lbs of our stuff. That surprised me as I thought I would have had much more. I think that 835 would be a good average for what most put in a Moho to travel and camp.

Sorry it's taken so long to respond.
