Sofa/Dinette slide

I have a 2010 Berkshire 390bh and was having trouble with the sofa slide. It would go out perfectly fine but would not come in. I tried everything. I noticed underneath where the hydraulic piston for that slide crosses the frame there is a piece of white plastic that looks like a guide of some sort for the piston. This piece of plastic looks worn where the piston rubs up against it. I took this plastic off (2 tap screws) and now the slide works fine. Did anyone ever notice if they have this plastic piece by the hydraulic piston? I'm wondering if this was for shipping purposes and they forgot to take it off? I looked at the kitchen slide and there is no plastic piece at all. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks in advance.

Dave,
I would check around for something that may be getting in the way on the inside of the coach when you try to bring the slide in. You should also check the hydraulic fluid to make sure it is full. It should be full when the slides are in and the jacks are up.
Good luck.
