sofa slide out not flush

I just dropped off my 2011 birkshire 390bh to dealer. my largest slide out on driver side is not closing square. the back touches 1st before front. I hope they can adjust, the front doesn't close flush. I can fit my fingers behind it. also this causes water to go in basement when driving in rain. hope it is under warranty? has any body had this problem?

Our superslide wasn't quite perfect, and like yours, was a bit tighter at the back. So I took an hour one day and adjusted it myself. I couldn't be bothered taking it somewhere and waiting for them to 'get around to it'.
It is a very easy job, just takes a bit of patience, a little adjustment at a time.

It would be pretty hard to explain without looking at your adjustment mechanism. All I did was lay under the slide for a while and look at the apparatus. It soon became obvious which nut did what.
But one thing, if you have a dual ram mechanical slide, you will note that one ram is the powered one and the other is a slave, driven off the first.
I didn't want to use the adjusting nuts at the end of the rams for all of the adjustment, so I dropped the gear holder on the slave, then adjusted the powered one by hand so that I could jump one tooth on the slave gear. Then I fine tuned it with the adjusting nuts.
I know that is about as clear as mud, but if you look at yours, I think you might get the idea.
If I have time later, I might try to get some pics.

They "don't think" the slide is adjustable?
What kind of a dealer would not KNOW that? Good grief!
Besides, I find it hard to believe that it would not be adjustable. The factory manufacturing tolerances are not good enough to allow that.

i know.right. and as i talked to the guy. it just seem they don't want to be bothered. i think one day he was sweeping floors for a living, i decided " i will be a RV mechanic". i have found that most of these RV dealers are parts changers, and have no clue! you can almost learn more a fix it your self by asking people that figured it out already. but i guess welcome to the world of RV'ing

Angry update on slide out

Update ; took dealer about 2 weeks they adjusted slide out to be flush. forest river denied warranty claim, they stated all adjustments have to be made with in 90 day of purchase. thing is we bought end of season and put in storage for 4 month. and it is unfeasible for this slideout to come unadjusted. it was built that way! SHAME ON FOREST RIVER. i have tried to contact them twice, they will not return call. i think they should have covered. it cost $210.
