Step troubleshooting......sorry

Hello all,

First, sorry to bring up another dreaded step issue.

I just wrapped up 8 months of living full time in the MH while a new house was built. I can't get the steps to retract without the key in the ignition. I've tried all combinations of switch positions and door closing/opening. The key in the ignition is the only way it retracts. Anyone know of a way to "reset" the steps or any other tricks. Thanks for any help.

Sounds like it might be the magnetic door switch.

Don't think it's the door switch because the ignition override function still has to know when the door is closed and the only sensor for that is the door switch. Now, the main power switch for the steps could be an issue because ignition will override it no matter what position the power switch is in.
