Straight "Poop" From Berkshire!

I know Forest River is sending people from the Berkshire division to the RV Trade Showin Louisville...Here is the next change Berkshire needs to do!

Sani-Conฎ Turbo | Products | Thetford

This is such an awesome change to the traditional Stinky Slinky, I am wondering if it could be put on a Berkie after-market JIC FR does not decide to install at the factory?!

It is! it's a 1 1/2" tube - which is fine since it is a Macerating pump (not only does it evacuate your black tank, but the pump has blades that reduce solids to a slurrey which technically can be evacuated with a garden hose).

So not only is it permanently attached, it's half the OD of a gravity sewer. Sweet!

Yep, the macerator pump works great. Until it plugs or the motor goes out when you're camped at an out of the way rv park. Then add to it it's just at dusk, your tank is full, and it's 40 degrees outside. Then you'll be, as the song says

Straight "Poop" From Berkshire!

If problems arise a person can just decide NOT to dump. Sometime ya just gotta say NO.

High dollar Newmars come stock with these.

And since the XLT is trying to directly compete with the Dutch Star....

I had one in my 2012 Winnebago ERA ( 24' Sprinter van conversion) and it did give me a few problems. It wasn't a Prevo Bus, but it did have the same macerator system as many of the top end units.

There are some folks in the Legacy forum that had this installed after market and it looks great. Fits right in the water compartment without a hitch. Also, from the pictures, it looked to me like if it gave you problems, you would simply unhook it from the dump connection and hook up the stinky slinky temporarily. Search there and take a look at the pictures - pretty cool, though not sure it's worth the investment for me right now.

That's just the point Brian...compared to my "monster" WasteMaster this sweet deal makes a sewer dump a walk in the park

I have the Lippert system on my Berk and it works great BUT it's not the ideal system for a Moho. First storage is a PIA. We don't have clearance under to mount that very cool box. So it must go in the basement. I full time so space is at a premium. I have to haul around a hose a coupler an extension hose a adapter. All sorta nasty stuff and it takes up to much space. The macerator would be about the same price as I payed for all the Lippert stuff and take up half the space. I like the Lippert system but not sure I would recommend it for a Moho.

That was my thinking exactly Phil! I have the same setup on my 5er (except I have that cool case mounted on the frame of my 5er )

Nowhere to put that on the Berkie

Since we plan on fulltiming as well, you are right space is at a premium!

I was rooting around looking for previoius posts (thanks Concept) and found this thtread you may be interested in Phil:

I use the portable FloJet macerator on my Berk. Works great. Bonus is if it fails, I can still drag out the 3-inch stinky slinky.

Even has a hose connection for back washing.

Just another option.

Bob that's nasty. I didn't watch the whole video but I saw enough. I will say if that was me it would have been a X rated version. I believe I would have made up a few new swear words.

I really want one of these for my Berk so I can use an extension and dump the tanks at my house if I need to.
