Tank Heat "button"

I'm sure the Tank Heat button turns the heat on for the tanks in cold weather, can anyone add any more info to this. New-b, thanks!

If it is the same as mine, you have a heating pad 12v on the fresh, gray and black. They are thermostatically, will heat the tanks to 60 degrees. You should also have your elbows wrapped and your valves.

Just so you also know, they will suck your batteries down, only use them when you are plugged in with 110v or in your case you might have a generator which would be fine. Glad I could help. I park mine in my driveway plugged in and do not winterize, but I also leave a 1500 watt heater plugged in. It has been 22 degrees here and in my basement my remote stat says 55 degrees. I also put water in all tanks seams to me when the tank heats up it helps hold it down there. But they are still safe to use even empty..

x2 on the advice!

The heater we found that seems perfect for our 5er is a oil heater with a "freeze" setting that keeps the 5er at a constant 45°
you can find one here:
Amazon.com - DeLonghi EW7707CB Safeheat 1500W ComforTemp Portable Oil-Filled Radiator - Black

We use this in combination with our tank heaters (plugged into shore power at home) and do not winterize either
