We are leaving Friday for Zion then Las Vegas and a few other stops and I think I need to bring the car. I found a single axle tilt trailor from RSC Rentals for $168 for the week. I looked into a car dolly but those run me about $300 for the week. The RSC stated that the single axle trailer is rated for 5,000 pounds. I'll put our Acura TL on there that has a curb weight of 3623 pounds and a gross weight of 4608 pounds. I saw a youtube video of a car being loaded on a tilt trailer and it does not seem to bad. I think this may be the way to go.
Don't forget that single axle weight of 5k includes the weight of the trailer itself. I personally would be hesitant to pull a car on a single axle trailer umm wait.. I would not put a car on a single axle trailer. You have no safety margin for a blow out or anything.
I nixed the tilt trailer. Tried it and it tilts before the back wheels get on. So my quest is now for a roe dolly. 2 were on craigslist and sold in under a day. I need to move fast.

I found a car dolly on craigslist for $400. I called uhaul and they wanted $350 for a week. It use to belong to Penske. Some guy bought it painted it and sold it to me. I think it will work great.
sounds good. just remember not to leave the park brake on :P Only lady around here put the car on the dolly, did it up, left it in park. the class A pulled it around the block and down the road and dragged the poor tires right off of it!
