Tire longevity

I’m hearing that tires on these coaches don’t typically last more than 5-7 years max regardless of mileage. Does that sound right?

You are in the ballpark. Check for cracking on the outside.

Frankly, over 6 Years is kind of pushing on any vehicle.

Sun on the rubber is the bad thing.

This is a constant issue in the classic car world.

And from the other end, I've only been able to get 10-15 thousand miles before the tread is worn down... even in less than a year. It seems like they are made soft to keep from cracking, but that allows them to wear pretty quickly. But, that's on a trailer, not a motorhome.

I am running factory tires on my 2019 Rockwood Fifth Wheel, up to just over 12k in miles. Hoping to get 2nd season in before moving to a better Goodyear Endurance (I have heard are much better). I tend to drive on the slow side 60-62mph which hopefully will help on any kind of blow out scenario. My camping friend drove way to fast (70) and had a blow out in a matter of 2 trips. Live and learn.

imo. you may be misinformed on the 'soft to keep from cracking' idea. Also, if you are having major tread wear in 10-15 thousand miles, you need to look for the cause and not the result. Look for out of alignment, or too much weight on tires or psi in tires. just some thoughts.
