Most people run TST-507 w/non flow through sensors. When I ordered mine Vulcan tire had the best price.

Not sure "most" is correct. I have the 507 and have had both flow through and non flow through. I prefer the flow through because it makes it easier to adjust my pressures as necessary. Good system with great customer service.

I also have the tst507 system and it works great for me. I use the non flow thru type sensors but that is a personal preference.

One more for TST. I do believe most all systems will work equally well. I was impressed with TST's customer service.

Only $220 for a 4 tire system. That is a great price. Thanks.

My decision was based solely on Tiremans recommendation. If your tire doesn't need air...don't mess with it. Leaks are created many times by checking the air and a core not seating. Hence I just checked the air before I left and blooom.

I have Pressure Pro 10 tire. So much better then the tire minder I had. The pressure pro was a little more expensive but now I know why.

Why? So much better in what way?

I have the TST-507 has worked well for me, I guess, because I've yet to have a low pressure issue. Time will tell but I have no way of comparing to a Pressure Pro or a Tire Minder. What makes your Pressure Pro so much better than the Tire Minder in your opinion?

I started with the TST 507 flo thru system. On my rims the flo thru stick out too far and I can't seem to find a 30 degree or 45 degree metal valve stem that will work. First time I hit road debri TST replaced the sensor for me. No I'm out of warranty and lost another to a piece of truck recap on the road. I called TST and told them I wanted to buy all new non flo thru sensors. I was told that would cost $200. for 4. She told me that since I was switching over she would give me a complete new system with a 3 year warranty for $9 more. I have a new system with 3 back up sensors and a back up monitor and love their customer service!

I, too, have the TST 507 system. It saved me from a possible blowout this summer. The alarm sounded just before entering an Interstate highway. I drove a few hundred yards to an abandoned gas station. Sure enough. Bad leak in my left rear OEM Castle Rock tire. It was a minor inconvenience, and the TPMS alerted me before something much worse might have happened. The tire was bulging radially. It was replaced under warranty by LionsHead after sending them pics and documentation.

BTW, I top off my tires when they need it. I have the NON flow-through sensors. It's really no problem to unscrew the sensors to add air. If I didn't have sensors, I would have to unscrew the valve stem cap anyway. No big deal.

Doctor,
When you called and told them about your sensor, did they make you go through all sorts of tests to verify that it was the sensor? When I called them and asked about replacing a sensor that I thought was bad, they had me take the sensor off and put it back. When that didn't help, they then said to move the sensor to another wheel. When that didn't help either, they agreed to send me another sensor. My system is only a little over 2 years old.

A TPM is a great item to have; however the tires need to be inflated properly in the first place.

To inflate properly, you need to weigh your rig, fully loaded with your toad. Then look up the load vs pressure chart for the make, model and manufacturer of the tires. Then inflate the tires to the chart recommendations, in the morning before the coach has been driven or the sun has heated the tires. Never use the pressure listed on the tire sidewalls. That is the tire's maximum pressure for the maximum load.

After proper inflation, the TPM will be a useful tool for detecting leaks and monitoring temperature.

Another vote for the TST-507. I upgraded to a flow thru sensor system as they fit better with the "wheel simulators" FR uses on motor homes.

Just make sure you replace any rubber valve stems with metal ones, to prevent flexing failures, when you add a TPMS...

For my money TST is the best. I am on my second TST system ( had the earlier version on older camper). Work well and the service is amazing. Makes towing a more pleasurable experience as I let the TPMS worry about the tires.

Our tire minder often would give a false alarm and we got pretty tired pulling off and checking tires. After the first winter of leaving the tire minder in the coach the LCD display was toast, by then that was it, in the trash it went. I am a member of another forum that has many members that are full timers with many years traveling that have used pressure pro for years so I went with there recommendation. In my opinion the Pressure pro is simple, reliable and powerful. Not one false alarm in a year.
