Transfer Switch

Well, can you say "one more time"... FR replaced my recalled transfer switch a couple of weeks ago and now we are going to do it again... They used a different brand and when we plugged it in it "buzzed"...

I called Mitch at the factory and he was his usual super self.... He heard the buzz, went to his boss and got him to approve a second one... He's mailing it to me and I'll make an appointment at the local FR service center and do it again... Hopefully, this one will do the trick....

When you say it 'buzzed', how loud was it? Mine new switch makes a hum or buzz also so I am curious how loud your is. Mine may need to be replaced also.

According to Mitch at FR, they shouldn't buzz... The original one that that recalled made zero noise....

Tom mine came with the new switch and it makes a very noticeable hum. You only here it with the compartment door open. It has not caused a issue for me yet.

Thanks for the info. I emailed Mitch and he wants to see how my new switch is wired. My coach is covered now and will need to wait until uncover it to be able to get to the compartment and take a picture of the switch. I will send him the picture and go from there. Not sure if it is supposed to make that humming noise because the old one made no noise at all. I will keep you informed as to what Mitch says. Maybe you will need a new switch also.
