Trim on windshield

Any ideas on how to secure this back down? I tried double sided auto panel tape but it didn't work. Click image for larger version

I have the same thing happening and in the same spot. I tried epoxy putty which also didn't work. I was going to try a 'crazy glue' type adhesive but haven't tried yet (came down with the flu).

Had that happen on a car that I owned some time ago. I solved it by purchasing a tube of black polyurethane, filling the cavity then taping the strip in place after the polyurethane cured I removed the tape and trimmed off excess poly.

Urethane is probably better than a silicon based product. Thanks.

I had this happen after my windshield replacement, the installer corrected with an sealer, not sure what kind but I do know he said it was the same stuff they use on all windshields. Taped it down and 24 hrs later it was all set.
I bet any local glass company can tell you what the adhesive they use is.

Go by any auto parts store. They have a 3M auto glass adhesive that is made for this issue. Apply and then tape the rubber down to the windshield until the adhesive cures.

I would go by a glass shop they can probably fix it at a very low cost.
