Two AC’s on 50 Amp
We ran both ac units off our generator for several days on the last day only one could run at a time - now we are plugged in to 50 amp service and only one can run at a time ? How do I get them to run at the same time - there is more than enough power
Thanks !

Do you perhaps have any kind of electronic control ( ex: Precision Plex) in your RV, that lets you select the amps you are plugged into. and thus the system sheds anything that might be above that.
If so, and its selected for like 15, 20, or maybe even 30 amps, then it's not allowing the two air conditioners to come on.

If you do have a Precision Plex, page 2 of this link may help:

The electric system shows 50 amps per line and I have two lines and the break down of power from each line - when I turn on the second ac unit it sheds the first unit and turns it off. Seems like it thinks we are on 30 amp or less ? Have more than enough power to run them both just can get them to run at the same time. I have been in the this spot for over a year and they worked now after running off generator for a couple days they don’t ?

OK, when you look at the display under "power source" does it show 50 amp as the source?

OK, I was hoping it was just something as simple as that but it seems it is not. I am out of the easy stuff. Hopefully someone else will chime in with a solution.

On the touch screen what is the status of L1 and L2? Here is quick tutorial on how to see what line voltage is on both lines and what loads are powered and shed

Line 1 had 112 volts and 14 amps being used and line 2 has 114 volts of which 6 amps are being used - front AC is running

Is the touch screen giving any error codes or a brown out message? If you could turn the remote house disconnect off by the entry door off for about 30-45 seconds then power back up. this will reset the touch screen and force it into reboot

Touch screen is not giving any error codes - I disconnected from power and switched the house disconnect to reset everything and it still turns off the front ac and puts it in shed when I turn on rear ac unit

I would contact Precision Circuits; 630-515-9100 ext. 704 and that will get you to Danny DiNovo

Thank you !!! I talked to Danny and he walked me through some tests and it seems the compressor on the back ac unit is blown -pulling too much power when turned on and then causing everything to shed- not great news but at least it is something. Thanks for all the help!

Glad to hear Danny helped you figure it out, not the best news on the A/C compressor at least you have a direction as where to go now and get the issue fixed

no offense to Danny but did he get you to test the Capacitor?
Capacitor... stores some electricity and releases it when the compressor is starting which helps it get started!
additional Edit..
lots of youtube videos to help diagnose air conditioner problems.
even the parts on a external / split house air conditioner are similar and can be watched as a reference or learning.
a) Capacitor
b) faulty contactor
c) dirty / loose wire connections
d) Melted wires at compressor ... these are normally higher temperature wires than normal... don't swap the wires without getting correct ones.
even the spade connectors are rated higher temp

How old is the a/c is it still under warranty?
you might call some local HVAC companies close to you ....that MAY come out and look
you don't have to use a RV Technician or the dealer
