Paul nobody ever said you were lying we have ZERO to gain from that. In all my ownership of 3 class A's I can attest that they are by far the most stressful to lose sleep over and we are not full timers.

I'm sorry, I know you didn't accuse me of lying. I'm sorry if what I said inferred such. What I was trying to get across was Total Value is lying. I'd love to know what kind of BS they are feeding Randy and the folks at diesel division. More lies?
It's nice to know they, being TRVR, are monitoring the forum.

So Total Value gave us a filthy coach, a long list of items not checked even though they were signed off on the PDI list and ignored us once they had our money and since our purchase. But hey, we did get a fruit basket.

Woo what the heck. You never said anything about a fruit basket. This changes everything. Bananas and oranges are the answer. Who the heck needs AC?

PDI's cover as list of manufacturers specified items. If they find or are made aware of others they will handle them. It's a free country no one is forced to buy or take their unit to a specific dealer if you choose to drive a 1000 miles to another dealer do it but crucifying a dealer on social media when a dealership is working with you on manufacturing issues just doesn't seem right to me.
From other threads on this forum it sounds like there are other dealers in all parts of this country that do not live up to the standards of some.

First it's nice to be able to discuss a touchy subject within anyone getting PO'd. I do know that when I talked to Paul yesterday he said that TV had not contacted him about any issues for weeks now. I don't know if they are lying about something that stupid but it sounds like it. As for traveling a thousand miles to make the deal? I guess I would make that trip. Paul and I both full time. Home is where we put our jacks down. So what's the difference if we are traveling through town and buy a RV or if we buy a RV and then travel a thousand miles. Either way we are not in town when we need service. As a dealer I would make sure my team went through that rig with extra care so they didn't have problems on the road. I don't know if they take that into consideration but they should.

I agree Ernest. I like my 2011 so much I haven't found anything to tempt me away. And the best is my steps work. Besides remembering my first year and the horror stories from some I have no desire to go through that again.

Well, I hope I don't regret it, but I will put in my 2 cents. I bought my Berk from TV. I knew what I wanted to spend on my coach, out the door, and TV was the only one to price match it. My coach was not cleaned to my expectations (but not filthy either) when I picked it up, but I saved 10 grand, so that did not matter to me. I never had any problem in my communications with Chad, but I do feel bad for Paul, because he did get a raw deal. I think that knowing he was going to be travelling a great distance from the dealership should have given TV the incentive to go overboard on the PDI to make sure everything was right. I never planned on doing my service at TV, because I live a little over an hour away and have always dealt with Randy at FR Diesel factory. Some of us have had good experiences and some bad, so I guess it's buyer beware.

For a different perspective: We special ordered our Berkshire from Motorhome Specialists in Alvarado, TX. They beat a local dealership's trade in amount by 14 K and we bought a 2016 for 4K less than a local dealership wanted for a 2015!! We were extremely pleased with the dealership!
As far as Total Value, when we were shopping they did offer us a good price but only on the unit they had in stock. So ordering from MHSRV in Texas allowed us to order the exact color exterior and interior that we wanted. Also MHSRV is an 8 hour drive for us compared to a 20 hour drive to Indiana.
We were especially impressed that MHSRV gave us a loaner car (a 2015 Chevy Equinox) to use for the 4 days we were there. We even used it to drive to Dallas for the day to see the JFK Museum! Our "campsite" for our stay was a covered, paved spot with full hook-ups. No, there was no fruit basket but they did give us a bottle of wine, a starter kit ( sewer hose, toilet paper, water hose, chemical drop-ins, and pressure regulator) and a 200 piece tool set. The PDI was flawless and comfortable. We never felt rushed. Our tech did find a spider crack in the paint and it was addressed instantly. The repair was beautifully done and gave us a chance to go to the JFK museum while they worked! If we were ever in the market for another MH we would definitely go back to MHSRV.
In fact, if you buy from there tell them Stevenson 11157 sent you and they will take another $500.00 off the sales price. Our salesman was Mitch Bennett.
Good luck in your search. I know you will love your Berkshire as much as we do!

I too have heard great things about MSHRV and in fact check their site frequently. I also inquired with them when buying my coach, but they said the price that I wanted to top out at was not possible for the coach that I wanted. That is why I went to TV. I definitely would consider them for purchase, but it would have to be a great deal for me to travel that distance.

I would love to hear any other dealings with Total Value any one has had. This is a new unit with 77 miles on it. Wish me luck.

It's after Easter Fkaske, so I hope that you are getting your new coach soon and are very happy with it. We have no experience with TVRV but we do have the same coach. If you ever have any questions, please feel free to send a PM. Like any coach, you will go through your first year getting all of the kinks worked out, but it is a wonderful coach. ENJOY!!!

We just bought from MHS - great deal and experience - basically a day and 1/2 PDI - stayed on site the first night after the first walkthrough. Had a list of questions plus things to be fixed. All done before we left.
We traveled 300+ miles. I know I won't be back their for service but wish I could if needed. I was really impressed with those guys.
If anyone thinks they are interested - I would love to share my salesman name with you. You never know.

I don't have an issue or this thread I am sure you read all the posts as anyone can. Can't see the point in rehashing this over again.
