We are headed to Myrtle Beach to the MB Travel Park. It is an appetizer for the 2 week trip we will take July 4 back to MB. It is our first trip to the Travel Park. Anybody have any comments about the cg?

Lake Pleasant,Az
A regional campground in Maricopa county.
If it is anything like the other county campgrounds it will be good.
Leaving Wens. The 23 and returning on the 30th. Avoiding the Holiday traffic.

We've been there twice and it's very nice. Just avoid the Walmart on Sunday evening after 6:00 PM. Everyone seems to do their shopping for the week on Sunday evenings. It resembles Christmas Eve shopping. 2 places I'd recommend to eat, Crabby Mikes and The Noisy Oyster [MD -Steam Crabs]. Very jealous. Have a great time

Hope to be home by the weekend. Knee replacement surgery tomorrow. I should be in the hospital for 3 days. Drink one for me and have a great holiday. Most importantly "Be Safe"

We've been there. Brought the grandaughter's with us. We had a blast. It didn't rain one day. If it does, there inside pool is great. Love the outdoor pool too! Oh, and who couldn't ask for a more beautiful beach to swim in. There is a wal-Mart minutes up the street to get to. The only drawback is you can't have outdoor camp fires. Have a wonderful time! We are heading to the State Park up the road aways. We'll wave hi, as we go by!

The title of the thread is 'Where are you camping for Memorial Weekend?' and I posted the above because we are not able to go camping anywhere this weekend.
Hope that clears it up.

Like most have said, its a really nice campground. But it can be crowded specially on beach and pool. They remodeled the onsite general store over the winter. Has a nice pavilon with sunday church services plus nice little cafe with ice cream. There is a ChicFilet on site too. The large pool has a lazy river we love plus daily activities like karoake, pool dj and more. You have the choice of a site either close to beach or next to lake which is more wooded. The beach sites are all drive thru with covered picnic tables. Actual waterfront sites are usually reserved months ahead.
There is a walmart just minutes up from it plus a Tanger Outlet that my wife likes on those rainy days. Plus a mall with Bass Pro Shops I like. We found the Kroger to be less crowded for last minute grocery items which is to left of park while Walmart is to right. There is a CVS almost directly across from park real easy to get to plus if you like golf, there is Arcadian Shores next door.
Crabby Mikes is great if you want a big priced buffet meal, we usually go there once a trip as I love their fresh boiled seafood bar. If you want some more laid back local flavor, hit Biminis Oyster bar just up from park, across from Kroger. Go early as its a local hang out but well worth the experience. There is also a nice little deck bar just down the beach toward the pier if you want some adult time within walking distance.
The real good thing about MB park is that if you like to walk or have some quiet time on the beach, just go left on the beach past the Land End condos to an area on the beach that is part of SC nature perserve. If you gonna do alot of MB activities including eating out, and such as One Show, get the big coupon book found free at most store entrances. The One show is great, and not sure if its Monday or Tuesday, but kids were free with paid adult on that nite. May wanna check that.
OK, I'm getting long here but as you can tell...we love the area. Our last visit was last week. Been going down there regularly for 10 yrs, so if have any more questions on area, glad to help if can.

We are headed back to Jellystone Mill Run PA for Thursday to Monday! Pools will be open and it looks like we are going to need them. The forcast for Saturday is in the high 90's.

We will be at Frankenmuth, MI at the Jellystone campground. They are having a festival for dog there, so we are taking all the mutts with us as usual!

Don't forget to try Benjamin's for a great buffet. One of the best at MB.

At home, I'm afraid. DW had rotator cuff surgery three weeks ago and won't even get the sling off until June 10th or so. Then it will be another month of physiotherapy before we're likely to be going out.
Since we're retired, we tend to avoid the big holidays, leaving a space for someone with kids who's still working. We're not sure what this season will bring.

We will be @ Coloma Resort on the south fork of the American River. It's across from the Marshall Gold Discovery State Park in CA. Last weekend was Yosemite & first week of July is southern Oregon...
Hope everyone has a safe & fun holiday!
