Windshield Night and Sun Shade Switches

Because I am a bit "anal retentive" (so I've been told anyway) there's something that bothers me a bit that I might have to do something about with those switches on my 2013 390RB. For both the night and sun shade switches you push on the top of the rocker switch to make the shade move down and on the bottom of the rocker switch to make the shade move up. I would rather have it the other way around (just to make more sense for my pea sized brain). I looked at the back of the switches and noticed there are at least 4 wires in each switch so it's not as easy as just swapping 2 wires. I have not look up at the motors above the dash yet to see how many wires are up there. Are the switches the same on your coach? -Glenn

Why not just turn the switch 180°?

X2 with oldcoot or switch position of the wires on the switch if turning 180 will not work

Glenn, mine are different/correct.
Pressing down moves them down.
Pressing up moves them up.

Dan, let's trade coaches. That way I don't have to worry about it.

I am sure I can probably turn the switch over (almost sure), just thought it was strange that they installed them that way.

And when we do trade coaches, I get to keep the DVD player right? ;-)

My coach is the opposite yours. Pushing bottom of rocker goes down and top makes it go up.

Then the writing would be upside down. Good thought though.

I am at work now and can't look at it, but I thought maybe the switch could be separated from the labeling and turned around. If not, I will try to figure out which wire is which and switch them.

If I can opponents out I'll take a picture. That might help. I would guess it would just be wired wrong.

Okay, that does not look like an easy wire swap...

Thanks for the picture Phil!

Sounds good. You can pick mine up at the Durango Freightliner with a pulley through the radiator. Where can I pick yours up?

I am guessing I would have to swap two wires on each switch, but I would check that with a multimeter first.

Doesn't matter to me , it's yours now!

Sorry, that was a bad joke. Doesn't take much rum in the Mountain Air. :-)

Dan, just so you know- I took out all the tile, put in deep pile, multi colored shag carpet, painted all the cabinets green and put in a disco ball. Also- I found a really nice 8 track player to fit into the dash right where the pesky video monitor was for the cameras. Don't want you to be surprised when you get it.
