12 volt tv wiring

I'm getting a 12 volt tv for the bedroom. I would like to tap into the bathroom power since it shares a common wall. Power right now to the bathroom switches serve 2 led lights and the exhaust fan. The tv draws 4 amps. Anyone see any issue with doing this?

Probably not but it depends on the gauge of the wire, distance (wire length) to the converter, the size of the fuse and how much the other loads draw. An exhaust fan on high speed can draw 5 amps. Also, are there other loads on the same circuit, upstream of the bathroom?

My bedroom TV came from the factory wired into the bathroom lights.
Only problem was they wired it to the wrong side of the switch. The TV only worked when the bathroom lights were on.
Took me a while to figure that out lol.

Looks like 16 gage wire 15amp fuse converter is 3 feet away from the switch so probably a 12' run Turned everything on and pulled the fuse. Only bathroom lights and fan were off so I should be ok.
Thanks Chris didn't think of checking upstream.

Maybe the REAL problem was that they mounted the TV on the bedroom wall, and it should have been on the bathroom wall……so it would make sense for the TV to work only when you turn on the bathroom lights.

Just sayin’.

Looking at the image, I can't tell the physical orientation of the switches. There seems to be six connections. It appears that black is the unswitched hot for two switches and white+purple are the switched hot for each of two fixtures. White is apparently the ground return at both switches. Not sure why it would be at the switches unless they have indicator lamps.

Just an educated guess, but it looks like you could remove the Buchanan connectors and replace with wire nuts on the black and white connections and have unswitched 12v service for the TV on the other side of the wall.

HINT: Don't make the outlet on the other side directly behind this one--there may not be clearance for both. Offset it a bit.
